Native American Drum Making Workshop
We will come together and assemble bison hide hand-drums with Turtle, a Mohegan Tribal Elder. He comes to us with the wisdom of Native Ceremony and is willing to share the teachings as he lives them in his spiritual life. Chris follows a strong spiritual belief in his connection to Creator and Mother Earth and simply shares what he lives. As we assemble our hand drums, Chris (Painted Turtle) will speak about the connection to the Creator through the sacred drum and songs and demonstrate how the drumbeat symbolically connects the beat of our hearts to the spiritual heartbeat of Creation.

He has a strong belief in our connection to Mother Earth and shares what he has learned on this path. Painted Turtle offers his years of experience and Native wisdom for a variety of classes and events throughout the year. He is a member and Ceremonial person of the Mohegan Tribe of Indians currently serving on the Mohegan Tribal Council of Elders.
