I am currently training for two half marathons in September and November 2018. Running three times a week (12 – 16 miles avg. per week) after 1 1/2 month of training resulted in a shin splints in my left leg. I definitely felt some discomfort and stopped running for few days allowing to ice, rest and elevate my left leg. I also used a compression sleeve for my left leg for days I wanted to get outdoor exercise in walking. Four days later, I didn’t see any drastic improvement. Further research on the internet revealed shin splints take several weeks, if not months on average to full heal. I couldn’t wait that long to stay out from running so I went to Allison’s wellness center and was introduced to the BEMER Therapy. She was very enthusiastic in showing me how the device works and how it can heal muscle fatigue and even the shin splints. I did a total of 2 sessions at 15 minutes a piece and rested. I must say the BEMER eliminated the shin splints and was very pleased with the outcome. I even rub on my left shin and there was no discomfort or tenderness. I am very happy with the BEMER’s performance and capabilities. I would highly recommend to runners who are experiencing muscle fatigue or shin splints to try a BEMER session with Allison. She is a subject matter expert with the BEMER and will assist in any questions you may have. I will be using the BEMER periodically and incorporate into my training program to successfully run my first half marathon this year. Thank you Allison!
